Source confidence
STT GDC India is reported to be planning two data-centre parks in Noida and Greater Noida under its Uttar Pradesh memorandum, with about ₹4,100 crore of investment indicated. No capacity in megawatts, no plot addresses and no schedule can be established from accessible public sources. This page is short for a reason: the evidence is thin, and padding it would make it wrong.
1At a glance
Record ID
PRJ-022 — Gridvik India Data Centre Registry
Project
STT GDC India — Noida and Greater Noida data-centre parks
Operator
STT GDC India
State partner
Government of Uttar Pradesh, under the state memorandum signed in 2025–26 — see PRJ-021
Location
Noida and Greater Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh. No specific plots identified
Status
Announced or memorandum stage. No land allotment, no approval, no construction evidenced
Capacity
Not established. No project-specific MW appears in any accessible public source
Investment
About ₹4,100 crore indicated. Not allocated between the two parks, and not tied to a phase or a date
Source confidence
Low — 2 out of 5. The principal source is a journalistic investigation into water stress in the Uttar Pradesh data-centre corridor, not an operator release. The operator has not published a corresponding announcement that Gridvik can retrieve
Gridvik tier
C — proposal. Recorded and tracked, not sellable
2What is established
Three things, and no more.
One
STT GDC India has a memorandum with the Government of Uttar Pradesh covering AI-ready data-centre development. This is stated in the company's own multi-state announcement of 20 February 2026 and in the trade press covering it
Two
Two parks are reported for Noida and Greater Noida, with about ₹4,100 crore indicated
Three
STT GDC India is an active builder in Delhi NCR and has an existing operational presence in the region, so the intention is consistent with its behaviour elsewhere
What is not established
Capacity, plot locations, land status, power availability, phase structure, schedule, tenants, and whether the ₹4,100 crore is a commitment, a proposal or a planning assumption
3Why this record is thin — the honest explanation
Gridvik's position on records like this
The registry carries this as an announced proposal with capacity left blank. That is a deliberate choice, not an omission.
Three common ways to fill this gap, all of which Gridvik refuses: borrowing a capacity figure from a comparable STT campus and presenting it as this one's; dividing the ₹4,100 crore by a per-MW cost taken from elsewhere to manufacture a megawatt number; and treating the existing Uttar Pradesh data-centre dashboard entries for other operators as proxies. None of those would be sourced, and all three are routinely done in Indian market reports.
The record will stay thin until either the operator publishes a project release, a land allotment is gazetted, or an environmental clearance filing names a plot and a capacity. Any of those would convert this into a trackable project within days.
4The context that does exist — and it is not encouraging
The state policy
Uttar Pradesh has an active data-centre policy, amended in 2022, that has attracted a genuine cluster in Noida and Greater Noida — including AdaniConneX's operational Sector 62 facility (PRJ-007), NTT's Noida 2 campus (PRJ-023) and Microsoft's Delhi NCR presence
The reported constraint
The principal source for this record is an investigation into water stress in the Uttar Pradesh data-centre corridor, published by the Earth Journalism Network and Down To Earth, reporting that the corridor is "running on empty wells". That is relevant to any new park proposal in the same district
What that implies commercially
A new park in Noida or Greater Noida will face the same non-evaporative cooling pressure that has driven Microsoft's Hyderabad design and AdaniConneX's Taloja specification. Water strategy is now a permitting question in this district, not just an engineering preference
Competitive context
The Noida sub-market had roughly 278 MW of capacity in published market counts as of late 2026, with AdaniConneX, NTT, STT GDC, CtrlS, Sify and Web Werks all present. A new entrant park competes for the same power and the same tenants
Grid connection
Not established for either proposed park. In a district already hosting several hundred megawatts, substation capacity is the binding constraint
5Timeline
The Noida and Greater Noida park plan is first reported, with about ₹4,100 crore indicated.
STT GDC India signs a strategic memorandum with the Government of Uttar Pradesh alongside memoranda with Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
The multi-state memoranda are formally announced with the Uttar Pradesh element included but without site or capacity detail.
Land allotment, capacity, phase one size, power sanction, or any construction milestone for either park
6Limits
Capacity
Unknown. The central gap
Sites
No plot, district sector or acreage identified for either park
Investment basis
₹4,100 crore is indicated, but it is not stated whether that is capital expenditure, total investment over a period, or a planning envelope
Power
No substation, load sanction or DISCOM arrangement published
Water
No cooling design. The corridor's water stress is documented publicly, which makes this the most likely permitting constraint
Source confidence
Low. Confidence 2 of 5 in the registry. The primary source is an investigation, not an operator release
What we will not claim
No capacity, no acreage, no phase, no schedule, no tenant, and no inference of size from the investment figure
7Sources
This record was compiled from limited publicly available sources. Confidence is low and is stated as such.

What this page is, and what it is not
This is a short record of a proposal that the public record does not yet support. It is published as short deliberately.
Corrections are free and published with a date. If STT GDC India publishes a project release for either park, this record will be rebuilt in full.
