STT GDC Pune 2 is 15 MW, and it is one of two identical cards at that capacity. Its share of the portfolio depends entirely on a question the operator has not answered: it is 37.5% of the 40 MW headline and 18.5% of the 81 MW card sum. Neither of those is wrong. They measure different things, and the difference between them is the whole Pune portfolio problem. No stage, rack count, floor area or PUE is published.

2One building, two shares
Percentages are the easiest way to be wrong about a portfolio, and this card shows why.
| Denominator | This building’s share | What it implies |
|---|---|---|
| 40 MW — the current headline | 37.5% | one building is a third of the city footprint |
| 81 MW — the card sum | 18.5% | one of five, roughly equal to its neighbours |
| 42 MW — the likely expansion pair | 36% | if it were an expansion building, which it is not |
| 51.5 MW — all counted Pune capacity | 29% | a third of the counted market, and yet counted at zero |
Every one of those percentages is defensible and they range from 18% to 38%. A market note that quotes one of them without saying which perimeter it used is not wrong so much as unverifiable.
The practical rule this page exists to make: when a portfolio has more than one published denominator, quote the building in megawatts and name the perimeter. Percentages are for the executive summary, not the analysis.
3The pair at 15 MW
Two cards at exactly 15 MW in one city is the third matched pair in this registry, and each one has told us something.
| Pair | Capacity | What identical capacity implies |
|---|---|---|
| Palava 4 and 5 | 60.5 + 60.5 MW | one design built twice on a greenfield campus |
| Pune 2 and 3 | 15 + 15 MW | a standard building module, at the smaller scale Pune needs |
| CtrlS Mumbai DC 1 and DC 2 | 40 MW combined | two buildings so similar they are published as one card |
| Navi Mumbai 2 and 3 | 49 + 42 MW | two generations, close but not identical |
A repeated 15 MW module suggests STT has a design it can build quickly in secondary cities. That is a much more useful commercial fact than the portfolio headline, because it tells you what the next Pune building will look like and roughly what it will cost.
It also suggests the two buildings are on one site or two adjacent ones, sharing the 200 MVA sanction. Nothing published confirms that, and it is worth asking.

5Limits and open questions
- No stage. Operating, filling or planned is unstated.
- No basis. 15 MW is unlabelled IT, gross or design.
- No racks, floor area or PUE.
- Two denominators, no perimeter. The share depends on which one is right.
- The pair is inferred to share a site from identical capacity, which is not confirmed.
- What would close it. A stage and a rack count. Two facts for a building that carries a third of a city headline.
